Project Orion Review By Myles Newton

Project Orion Review By Myles Newton

5/5

Before I bought Orion, I purchased a Udemy course and watched a few YouTube videos. Both of these weren’t great and didn’t teach a lot of the core fundamentals of Spigot plugins, but this course has definitely helped me along the way. Although I did have some previous experience before using Orion, it has definitely helped me along the way and to get to where I am now.

One thing that I didn’t like about the course was the heavy tie-in to Foundation, the library provided, as you can’t always do things your own way, but this means that it is good and easy to learn for those starting out and those with a little bit of knowledge and there is a lot of useful utilities. There are a lot of other things in this course that outweigh this negative though, for example, the tips and tricks and principles you learn.

Although I don’t personally use Foundation, it was a huge help when I was getting started out with this course, and my private APIs that I use now were based off Foundation and it’s core principles.

Overall, this course was amazing for the price and was a great purchase, and I’d highly recommend it. Whether you’re starting out or have some knowledge already, I highly recommend it.
