Project Orion Review By Patrick Axl

Project Orion Review By Patrick Axl

5/5

Highly recommended for aspiring Software Engineers!

Minecraft is a great place to let your creativity run wild, while also working on your problem solving skills! I was quite skeptical at first of MineAcademy at first, but then after doing some research (figuring out who the team was, previous works, etc…) and viewing a small preview, a handful of concerns were cleared right up! At first I thought that the price tag was a little steep, especially for a game that I bought for like $15-20 many a years ago, but I came to realize that it is not a very wild price at all.

Especially considering there is so much content, and not even Minecraft specific content, but also content that aspiring Software Engineers can use in their day to day lives. HECK, even current Software Engineers would learn something from this, or at the very LEAST, get a massive and fun Java refresher. It’s been a while since I have taken a course where I am actively wanting to start the next lesson, and I have the whole MineAcademy team to thank for that! Once you join, you really feel that you are a part of a community!

Not only that, but something else that is really cool, is that usually there are weekly Q&A calls, where you can show what you are stuck with, and the team/community can help resolve the issue as one! I have reached out to Matej a couple of times directly, in terms of clearing up questions, and he is always rather quick to the response, as well as extremely professional. 10/10 Keep up the awesome work guys!
